Lu You (simplified Chinese: 陆游; 1125–1209) was a Chinese historian and poet of the Southern Song Dynasty (南宋). Lu You wrote about eleven thousand poems, in both the shi (詩) and ci (詞) forms, plus a number of prose works, which made him the poet who ranks the top in the list of numbers of the poems left before 15C.
